    Hi,
Trying to do some preventive maintenance....better in summer than
Buffalo's cold weather. 1998 SL2, 128,000 miles, automatic with AC.
No major problems. Intend to keep car till at least 200,000.

Should I replace this summer at my leisure:
    Alternator
    Water pump
    Radiator
    Anything else to consider?

I have done all the recommended maintenance.

    Thanks in advance

  2. My rule of thumb has always been, "If it ain't broken, don't fix it". That
being said, if the radiator fins are showing signs of rot, then I might
consider replacing the radiator. I know that Honda recomends replacing the
water pump with every timing belt change. I do it every second belt change
    on my wifes Acura.

I am lucky in that I have a garage which is insulated and is easily heated
to over 50 degrees with a small space heater.

I agree. Leave it alone. It's one thing if it sounds like the bearings are
going on the pump or something similar. If it's still running fine, though,
then your best best is to leave it alone.

If you're looking for something to work on, check your tires or brakes.

    Enjoy!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

But a tune up probably wouldn't hurt.
