I have to have a proof of insurance for a 96 SL1 to give to my insurance agency. I have it ABS but I don't have any documented proof. If anybody has it and could scan me a copy I would be truly grateful. My email is . I have the ABS discount right now but if I don't send in proof they're going to raise my premium and I'm scraping the bottom of the pan here in expenses trying to get by.

    Dear Mr. Insurance Broker,

I, Kirk Kohnen, do affirm that "Ben" indeed and in fact, has antilock brakes
    on his 96 Saturn SL1.

    Sincerely,

    Kirk Kohnen.

(This is about the best I can do. How about taking the car in to your local
insurance agent and showing him the ABS button on the dash, and the ABS unit
    under the hood.

Don't have a local agent? Bummer.

Your local agent won't bother to look? Fire him.)

Insurance companies get those details about your car from your VIN number.
If they have your VIN number, then they can see that you have ABS.

  5. My 2001 SL does NOT have ABS, although my insurance company insists it does
    according to the VIN.
I tried to tell them that they are wrong but they say I must be mistaken (or
an idiot). In the meantime I am getting an ABS discount on my premiums.
I suppose I should try and state my case to them again just to avoid the
shit they will try to give me if I should have a crash.

Go to your local Dealer and have them write a statement that you car either
    has or doesn't have ABS...

Then turn in the Dealers statement. This shoul dbe proof enough for them.
