I don't know if that is the correct term, however Canadian owners don't
have that light on their SC cars.
I was just curious at what RPM does the light that tells you to shift
your manual transmission up come on.
Simply just wondering at what RPM range does Saturn recommend changing
    gears.
    Thanks in advance.

Mine (98 SL) comes on between 2.5K to 3K. But only when crusing. If you are
accelerating, it does not come on because to accelerate quickly, you need to
be between 3K and 4.5K to get the fuller horse power. Of course, once you
reach the speed you want to be in, you should shift up.

  3. Lucky them! When I see the light, it means I'm not pushing the skinny pedal
    hard enough.
The light comes on based on engine load - when the PCM senses that the
calculated load on the engine is at a presdetermined level, the light comes
on. This is because if they didn't have the light, the EPA will shift the
car at their own determined points to dermine the rated MPG of the car.
