My 94 SL1 is getting old and pissy....

When putting around town at 30 mph around 2000 rpm the motor bucks and
bounces. It's started doing it at highway speeds now as well.

It goes fine if I have my boot to the floor.

    1. Fuel pump iffy?
    2. ????

    HELP!

Start with simple things. Plugs, Wires, clean throttle body. Look for codes
    too.

Sounds like a spark issue but if you havent replaced your fuel filter in
the last 20k-25k miles your due for one. How many miles do you have on
it now and when was the last time plug and/or wires were changed?

    Check codes.

On my car, it was the knock sensor. Reading the codes indicated bad connection
to the knock sensor or faulty unit.

Replaced and fine since. May be a dealer only part - 1st place i went to gave
me something that would not work/fit.

Spark plugs and leads about 2 months ago, gave the thottle body a good
dousing with cleaner. Have had no Service Engine light come on ever (knock
on wood). Fuel filter is about 1 yr old now, but it does it even when a new
filter goes in (just not as bad)
