Does anyone know what spark plugs are recommended for a 1993 SL1 with SOHC?
Does it have a "wasted spark" system? Mine appears to have two coils which
would indicate "wasted spark". Since, in a "wasted spark" engine one coil
services two cylinders - one off the positive pulse and the other the
negative, dual platinum would be indicated. The "wasted" spark occurs when
one coil fires two cylinders simultaneously, one in the firing and the other
    in the exhaust cycle.

As in name brand or what? The only 2 brands off the top of my head I
trust are AC Delco and Autolite plugs and wires. Bosch is crap. When you
get a new set of wires be sure to check them with a Ohm Meter. If you
get platinum plugs the lower the resistance wires you can get the
    better.
    Yes.

  3. Yes, it is a waste-spark system. Therefore, if you do use platinum plugs,
using plugs with platinum only on one electrode (like the Bosch platinum
plugs I'm familiar with) is likely not a good idea.

Current Saturn spec is NGK. I use the NGK-V type and have had no
    problem.
