My wife's poor little SL1! She bought it new in '93 and it has run great up
until this year when she had to have a new tranny put in (it's automatic).
She also had new spark plug wires put in. She also has had her AC system
replaced and the battery cables replaced.

After the work on the tranny, the car ran rough, missing and anemic on power
    with the automatic tranny.

When Saturn put in the new tranny, they never bothered to check the battery,
duh! The battery turned out to be old and I replaced it, this helped some
with the electronic aspects of the tranny.

Today, she tells me the car is missing in idle and drives "jerky". She said
the tranny shifts smoothlynow bu the car idles rough and sometimes wants to
shut off in idle, especially after being driven a few miles or so.

The car is very low miles (70K orig miles) and she is a slow driver.

My first thoughts are that the car needs a full tune up and the TB cleaned.
    Any thoughts? Thanks.
