New member here. I have an LW300, sick and not running, and a newly acquired 1998 SW2 with manual transmission.

LW300 was nice car but just stopped starting. Cranks but that is all. No codes showing. Not crank position sensor as I'd changed that, and swapped a new one just to try it out. Anyway, the LW300 is sitting until I get a round tuit.

The SW2 is a new acquisition. 164K miles but seeming pretty decent shape for its age and mileage. First drive yielded 30mpg. Monitoring coolant temperature showed maximum around 140F. After changing the thermostat and ECTS on the SW2, coolant temperature seems steady at 195F to 200F. Stop and go traffic mileage was 26mpg, and highway mileage ranges from 38 to 45 mpg. Far better than I expected.
