I have a 1999 SC1. I have definitely determined that I need to replace my horn
and have purchased one. I see that the horn is located just behind and a bit
below the drivers side headlamp but am not sure of the best procedure for
accessing and swapping out the horn.

Should I work on this from below, above? What should I removed to access it?

    Thanks for the advice.

I installed a set of Fiamm horns on my SL2. I removed the left front
tire and inner fender. Decent amount of room to access the horn.

Just did this the other day on my 98 SC1. Not a bad procedure. Remove
three bolts (7mm if I remember correctly) each from drivers and passengers
fender, two bolts each in front of each tire under the bumper. Take all
three plastic pop-clips out, under the hood in front of the hood release.
Pull the bumper forward about three inches, and then the bumper will drop,
and you can easily access the horn.

Not positive if the 99 is exactly the same as the 98, but should be similar
    anyway.

    Hope this helps!

No problem. That's why we're here.
