I purchased a new 03 Vue without powered Door Locks. I did not want
anything automatic. However, the rear hatch still has an automatic locking
mechanism ($#%&*). i.e, when you stop and move (in either direction), the
rear hatch locks.
My question is:
1) Is there a way to program the computer not to lock the rear hatch?
2) I assume that if it locks it, it can unlock it; therefore, can I wire a
remote lock/unlock switch (I assume the wire harness maybe already be in the
door; therefore do I only need to install the switch in the driver door)?
(any mechanics here?)
3) Can I create a switch at the rear door to lock it?
