i have a saturn sl1.
there is a strange substance coming out of the tailgate, like a "black huma hair".
does anybody have any idea what this could be?
the car is running ok.
please help.

by tailgate, you mean tailpipe? My guess would be carbon. Some times this
means burning oil, which the 1.9L are known for. Check your oil levels.
sorry, it's early so i may be missing some things. You'll have to give some
more detail also. "black human(?) hair" is not really specific.

You have a 92 or 93, right? If so, then your Saturn is probably going
through puberty.
