Hi- I wrote last week about my 1999 SW2 with 18,000 miles that cranks but
won't start. It seemed ok for a while, but last Wednesday refused to
start again. My mechanic said it is the PCM. Many codes, no
communication, proper voltage going in and nothing coming out. I am
speaking with Saturn customer relations to try and get them to cover it,
since the computer should not go bad in just 18k miles. They said they
had NEVER seen a computer go bad like this before. Another person from
Saturn said that the Federal Emissions law will cover the repair up to 8
    years/80,000 miles.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks for any insight you could give me.

  2. Yes, the PCM should be covered for 8 years/80,000 miles under the emissions
warranty. If that's the problem, that is.. Their description sounds a bit
odd, many codes tends to contradict a lack of communication since
communication is needed to read the codes..
