My brother-in-law currently has a 2008 Saturn Outlook and I will make this brief. We have no clue where the neutral safety switch is located. Is there anyone out there who Can’t help!

download.png Can't seem to find a definitive answer. The following image is from charm.li

I believe it is number four on the diagram on the right.

If it is not located there, follow the shift cable to the transmission and it should be mounted on the transmission.

I'm assuming you are having problems getting the shifter out of park and are trying to get it to start in neutral because you can't get it to start in park because it doesn't think it's in park. But if the solenoid bites the dust, it won't let go of this shifter.

I see it listed as an automatic transmission shift lock solenoid in some places, but when I look on eBay and other places, it refers to a neutral safety switch, so I may not be pointing you toward the correct part.

Best I can do without more information.

Here is a quick link to a very handy site with very handy manuals.
