I replaced a burn out bulb in the dash today for this 93 wagon
lap seatbelt warning light and it only seems to work with the
drivers lap seatbelt. Should other lap seatbelts such as the
passenger's also trigger the warning light? Or the back seat lap
seatbelts? Just curious as I had a passenger intentionally
temporarily disengage that lap seatbelt, when under way, and the
dash warning light did not come on, or flash, as the driver side
    does. Thanks for any info.

Most cars only warn for the driver because they would be on all the time if
they warned when any seatbelt was disengaged. Some newer cars are warning
for the passengers as well but they must have a pressure sensor in the seat
so they know when somebody is there.

Thanks for your answer. Was curious if there were sensors in the
passenger front seat. Now I know.

Do you mean my 93 dohc is supposed to have the front passenger
side seat pressure sensor? Am confused now. Hope someone can
    clarify.

I think he was agreeing that the newer cars have sensors. Not your 93

  7. correct. some newer cars have pressure bladders in them to determine if
someone is seated in the passenger seat, and how heavy they are.

none of the S series Saturns had these.
