Hello, My name is Greg Duncan. I have a friend who owns a 2001 Saturn L300 with the 3.0 V6 engine.
About a year or so ago, his Saturn quit on him on the road homeward.
The battery dies after a while. It sits for a year.
We tried cranking with ether. It pops, but no start.
(1.) We checked for a pulse at the OBD... powered, but no coms!! lol
We tested the sensors good, but no fuel pressure. The pump relay and fuse check out okay.
We pull the fuel pump, wiring power positive and ground are good, but no steady voltage at prime.
I by-pass the fuel pump relay -- to get pressure on the rail. Pressure there, but No fuel injector pulse!
I pulled the ECM box under the hood, and blamed it.
Looking for a solution... meanwhile --- WHY would GM put their ECMs directly over the engine OVEN???!?!?!?
