I need one more opinion please

  1. My wife had and accident which involved the front right fender, The Bumper
cover and a motorcycle. We bought new parts and were planning on putting
them on ourselves. The concern have is finding out the hard way that it was
a fluke that the airbags did not deploy when she hit this thing. Can I work
with these two parts, and not set off the airbags? If so I will not worry
    about disabling them.

    Thanks

I cant recall from my head where things are routed. As I said, avoid
wires wrapped in yellow tape. Yes you should be able to work on this
    without issue.

The SIR system is set up to deploy when enough force is put on a human
body to send it towards the steering wheel or pillar. I doubt a 700lbs
motorcycle fender bender would have launched your wife into the steering
wheel... This aint 1979, the SIR system worked as it should. When the
car itself, not "body panels", start to crumple thats when the air bag
will most likely deploy. Theres a ton of science behind it.
