I just changed my spark plugs on my 2001 SL-2 and noticed on plug #2 alot of oil covering it. The other 3 were dry. Any suggestions as to the cause and solution? BTW it was WAY to long before changing the. Thanks for the help

You most likely have oil leaking into the spark plug well between the cam
cover gasket and the head. It seems to be a fairly common problem.

Yep, happened to me too, but on the #1 plug. I noticed it when the engine
started cutting out or stumbling during acceleration. I thought it was the
plug wires, but when I checked, the #1 plug well was about 1/2 full of
oil... The valve cover was also leaking around the edges near the front of
    the engine (passenger side).

Since it was almost time for a tune up anyway (55k miles), I changed the
valve/cam cover gasket, plugs, wires, fuel filter, PCV valve, etc, all at
once. Took about 3 hours, taking my time doing it. Total cost was about $60
in parts. Dealer would have charged over $500...

I think it is a fairly common problem on Saturns, at least I found lots of
the same problems over a range of year models mentioned here. Mine is a 97
    SC2 (DOHC).
