I suggest all Saturn Owners, particularly Vue owners with the Honda
V-6 read the following article from Motor Magaziine:

    http://www.motor.com/MAGAZINE/Articles/082004_04.html

"The questions about 2-EHA were raised not only by Ford (and
reportedly DaimlerChrysler) but within Japanese coolant development
circles, as well. When Honda introduced its long-life coolant, it
specifically excluded 2-EHA, and we can tell you there is unhappiness
at Honda regarding DexCool in the new Saturn VUE with the
Honda-supplied 3.5L V6. The system is being filled with DexCool
because that's what's in the plant for everything else. It would not
be simple to set up a separate coolant fill system for the Honda
    engine."

Good artical. Here it is again with images in a pdf format

The part I didnt like is the "Replacement parts" section. You never
want to use copper in a system that has aluminum. It will act like a
mild battery and could ruin your system.

This is the first time I've ever see 2-EHA mentioned! If I do a search
in google for 2-EHA + coolant I get only 4 sites. They've also done a
good job on explaining the "rust" issue. I've never seen a Dex system
that look bad if it was kept topped off. I will still continue to use
dexcool and dex compatible coolants myself. There isnt a better coolant
in our market as of yet from what I read. They didnt make it clear if
Prestone or Zerex contains 2-EHA though.
