I have this old engine diagnostic meter that is supposed to hook up to the
coil to check the RPMs. Is there someplace to hook this up? To check the
idle speed. The Chilton's says I need to hook up a "IAC tester" and a "PDT
scan tool to the ALDL connector". Can please someone please give me a
    break?

If your Chilton manual has wiring diagrams, look for the lead for tach/rpm
from the underhood ignition module to the PCM. For some reason, I believe
it's a white wire. This is off of memory from a while ago, so someone
please correct me if I'm wrong.
