Hi. Last week I spent 80 bucks to get the light on the SL1, 1997 Saturn
checked out. The codes were fuel and 02 sensor.

They reset them and drove car around. They did not come back on.

Now it is on again. It would be another 80 bucks and then time to debug
    following the tree.

Any words of wisdom out there?\

    Car seems to run okay.

    Thanks.

    Jim,

If all they did was reset and test drive, I'd go to another dealer.
The error codes indicated problems that should of been looked at.

Throw in another twenty bucks and buy a scanner of your own. Or find an
Autozone that will read the codes for you for free. Then come back here
and tell us what the codes said.

Hi. Thanks for tip. Did not realize I could get a reader.

I suspect the shop I went to was banking on the fact that the fault was
intermittant and did not expand funds to go down the tree.

What puzzles me, though, is the high cost of reading the codes.

I will check out the Autozone and be back.

    THanks.
