Are Saturn engines used in other makes of vehicles. I've heard Opel?

Does anyone know? How do I find out?

It depends which engine. The old 1.9L engine used in the S-series has not
been used by anyone else as far as I know. The Ecotec 2.2L engine available
in the ION, L-series and VUE is a GM global engine also used by Chevrolet,
Pontiac, Opel, and I believe Vauxhall as well. The 3.0L V6 available in the
2003 VUE and in the L-series is an Opel-designed engine, and apparently the
3.5L engine in the 2004 VUE is a Honda-designed engine.

The only one I know for sure of is the 3L V6 in the L300 which is from the
Opel Vectra and was also used in the Cadillac Catera and one of the Saab's.
Since they are becoming more "part of GM" and less an entity in and of
themselves, I would expect to see more of that happen as time passes on.

The old 1.9L was only in Saturn S-Series cars. It was built from the ground
up at Spring Hill only. The Ecotech 2.2 is a GM standard engine that is and
will be in several GM lines (the ION engine). The Honda V6 is only in the
VUE. No other GM car or truck has that V6. The engines in the L-Series
cars are also GM standard engines and are in other models.

GM has gone to a worldwide engine placement. They are pairing down to only
having 7 Engine/Transmission plants. These 7 plants will be responsible for
building all the engines for the GM lineup.
