Whether the light on the dash on the AC button turns on when you try to engage the AC
Whether the air coming through the vents was getting progressively warmer and now is simply too warm to be considered air conditioning
Whether the AC compressor engages when you depress and engage the AC button on the dash
How many miles are on the car
How many miles are on the compressor
Has the HVAC system ever leaked before
If the system has leaked before, what repairs were performed and were they satisfactory
If the system was successfully repaired, how long did the repair last before insufficient HVAC cooling of which you now reference
Have you ever personally refilled the refrigerant due to a leak? Did it solve your problem at the time?
Has the system ever been professionally serviced? If so, when.
Could be as simple as a relay that has gone bad, or a pressure sensor or wiring has failed,not allowing the compressor to engage.
Could be a refrigerant leak such that there is not enough refrigerant left in the system for it to operate as designed. If enough refrigerant leaks out, it will inhibit itself from turning on to keep from destroying itself.
Thorough answers to the above questions will allow us to quickly go through the history of the system as well as to determine where to begin troubleshooting. Mm
