Just bought my daughter this car and the horn doesn't work and the gas
pedal is broken off. Anyone have any ideas on fixing these problems

  2. If you have a multimeter set it to volts and connect it across the two wires
going to the horn (usually mounted in front of the rad under the hood). Get
someone to press the horn button and you should measure 12 volts. If you
measure 12volts and you don't hear any sound from the horn then the horn is
bad and you have to get a new horn. You buy a new horn either from a dealer
or an automotive store and you unbolt the old one and install the new one in
its place. If you don't get 12volts then it is either the horn button or the
horn relay or an open fuse. It would help if you had a service manual like
a Haynes or Chilton (approx $15) to help you find where the components are
    located.
The gas pedal is usually a spring-loaded pedal the pulls a wire cable
connected to the throttle. As you press the gas pedal it pulls the throttle
cable which controls the gas flow. Take a look under the hood near where the
air intake hose connects to the intake manifold to see if you see a broken
cable dangling there. Have someone push the gas pedal while you look under
the hood to see if you see a cable moving in and out and going nowhere. If
the cable is not broken maybe the spot that it connects to is broken and
    needs to be fixed.
