    Hi Group,

Can anyone point me to an illustration showing where the coolant temperature
sensor is on a 96 Saturn (DOHC). Also, any tips on changing it?

    Best regards,
    Rob

I was able to do it without any problems. I had to take off of the air
filter and its duct work, but that was easy. The sensor now works and
hopefully my drive cycle will complete so I can get my inspection :)!

FYI to all those interested. My bad temp sensor didn't cause the check
engine light to come on and the only code I received was P0341(which is a
cam shaft sensor error). I changed the spark plugs and cables, the crank
shaft sensor, and replaced my exhaust's front pipe (leak) and catalytic
converter (plugged). All of this still did not help the drive cycle (OBDII)
to complete and because of this I was unable to pass the NYS's inspection.
Finally Saturn technician told me based on the symptoms that the temp sensor
was probably bad. Sure enough my temp gauge wasn't going above 1/4 and is
should be around 1/2; also, my engine was idling a bit high. I changed the
sensor and my temp gauge is climbing, the fan comes on, and the engine idle
is back to normal. I should be able to pass the drive cycle and hence get
    my inspection.
