95 SC2 Auto 2nd Gear sticking occassionally

95 SC2 auto,,occassionally sticks in passing gear, taking the foot off the
accelerator and then accelerating doesn't help. Usually have to go to
neutral and then back to drive. Only does it once in a month or so,,maybe
more often. What can i do to fix and what is going on with it?

Smell your tranny fluid from your dipstick & see if it smells kind'a
burnt.
If so or it's color is darker than normal have your transmission
serviced, esp. get a change of the transmission fluid which you should
have done every 20-25,000 miles or so.
