My 08 Aura with 140k miles has multiple coolant leaks: upper hose at thermostat housing, water pump and what appears to be a head gasket leak around cylinder 5 (plug looks coolant fouled)
I am questioning whether this car is worth or not worth fixing (head gaskets and water pump seem to be an expensive repair)
    Any thoughts or recommendations?
    Thx

If you are not doing the work yourself, it may not be worth the expense. I'm not one to go by the Blue book value, but go to KBB.com and see what your car is technically worth in the second to highest class, one below excellent. Then factor in the cost of the repairs from an estimate you get from someone and see if you will lose a ton of money getting it fixed in order to sell it.

The other two alternatives are selling it as is, probably fixing the hose leak as that is easy and visible.

The final second alternative is to get it fixed and drive it into the ground. I've only ever taken one vehicle to the junkyard in my life and it was beyond sensible repair. And that was in the early '90s.

If you decide to unload it, just be straight up and have a mechanics diagnosis, a written one on hand because if you're not straight up with the buyer, the blowback will be much worse. Take what you can get for it and move on if you sell it.
