I just received a recall letter from GM relating to my 2007 Saturn
VUE( V6 AWD). The recall states that the VUE "may have a torque
converter condition that could result in a transmission vibration or
shaking motion (judder) while driving at speeds between 20 and 45 mph.

The recall states that the dealer "will reprogram the powertrain
control module, and if necessary, replace the torque converter."

Has anyone else heard about this problem? Has anyone experienced the
    problem?

I worry that the local Chevy dealer (designated as a Saturn repair
facility by GM) would be able to reprogram the Saturn powertrain
control module, or replace a Honda torque converter.

Chances are that there will be a Saturn trained tech there who knows what he
is doing. Or even better chances are that one or more of your local Saturn
techs have migrated over to Chevy or another local participating GM dealer.
