2004 Vue Engine question

Hi -
My daughter is looking at a new 2004 Vue, with 4 cylinder engine, FWD, and
manual trans. The salesguy says it's a Honda engine and transmission... I
did a web search and can find no evidence that the engine is from Honda - it
looks like the V6 is, but no mention of the 4. Does he know what he's
talking about? And assuming that it is a Honda drivetrain, is it a good
one? New, or been around for a while? Any other comments about the 2004
Vue?

No, it is not a Honda. Only the V6 engine is a Honda. The 2.2L 4 in the Vue
is a GM corporate engine and seems to be pretty good. By all means, stick with
the manual if getting a 4 cyl. Hutch
