2003 saturn ion replaced ecm now ac or wheel speed works?

    I have a 2003 ion and my ecm went bad so bought a new reprogrammed one and it came and i installed it did the key reprogramming and it started up but my ac compressor clutch wont engage or my wheel speed sensor will not work

    Any ideas thanks Brenton

    You have four wheel speed sensors one of each wheel for the ABS system.

    You have one output shaft speed sensor.
    You have one vehicle speed sensor, I believe.

    Which one are you referring to?

    Check the high and low pressures on the AC. If they are down in the thirties or 20s, you are low on refrigerant and it is a coincidence. Otherwise, ensure with the battery off that all of the ECM connectors are firmly seated. Do not force any that are not. Gently remove them and inspect for bent pins.

    Also, check that any wiring you disturbed or disconnected in the area where you were working on the ECM replacement has all been reconnected and is secure. It's usually the last thing you touched and forgot about that ends up being the problem.
