    Hi guys:

I was wondering if anyone else out there has a 2000 S series that the
tranmission delays engaging in reverse, and once it does it "bangs"

Saturn issued a TSB (00-T-24) for it, so I was wondering how common of
    an occurance it is.

The dealer is trying to convince me that I'm the only one having
    problems with my input shaft.

    Thanks,

    Jason

Well, wonder no more! Go to google groups and search this group on the
phrase 'valve body'. It's been discussed at length here in the past, over
    and over.

Someone posted a link awhile ago, where you change the transmission fluid,
and leave the car running, while engaged in reverse, with the parking brake
    on, for 20-30 minutes.

  5. when i worked at saturn, i seen many of the "s" models come in with this
problem, you might want to have someone check the solenoids in the
transmission, but if saturn says its the input shaft, i have seen them
go out for no reason as well. ~b~ questions?
