When I go to start the car the wipers come ON by them selves. After cycling a few times they stop randomly anywhere on the windshield. Sometimes they will come ON by them selves while driving. After cycling a few times they will stop randomly anywhere on the windshield and not return to their "home" position. Any idea how is the wiper motor getting power to it without the engagement of the wiper switch?

The wiper control module runs off a board that is part of the assembly under the cowl where the wipers are. It it cannot not be replaced by itself.

You must replace the entire wiper assembly with the attached motor and transmission. Wear some gloves. A lot of sharp sheet metal edges involved.

Whoever engineered it to come out of the hole that it does miscalculated by 1/8 of an inch because you must bend the metal slot to get the thing out.

Look up the richpin video on YouTube. This is a must. There is only one angle that the thing comes out at and if you don't know what it is you will never get it out.
