06 Ion throttle codes and limp mode

Had 2 codes thrown the other day and the vehicle went immediately into limp mode. Codes were p1516 and p060e.

I'm trying to ascertain if I should change the pedal out first or the throttle body. Limp mode has turned off and the check engine light has gone off, but it will come back and I'd like to prevent that happening on the highway

Here's some fun information for you.

A couple of GM TSBs on reasons for limp mode with both p1516 and p060e

The first one refers to the second one so start with the first one until it points you to the second one etc.
