Hey - poked the horn on my ION the other day (anyone else find the horn
g-spot unusually difficult to "find"?) and I guess my knuckle or my ring or
something was sticking out - CRACKED the horn cover (gets cold in Ontario)
and put a monster dent in the unbelievably flimsy tin sticker in the middle.

geez. What a bummer. Now I need to think of a convincingly sad IN WARRANTY
story to get it fixed. :(

I have an ION3 in Ottawa, and have concerns about the centre steering wheel
    cover as well.

    Two problems:
    1. In cold weather (-10C or below, for example) the horn is almost
impossible to use. Thumb pressure is not enough, even when you hit the
correct spot (see below). This is because the plastic is very hard when
    cold.
    2. The airbag has to pass through this. Hopefully the bag has enough power
to punch through in very cold weather. (Hopefully the need will never
    arise.)

I had a discussion with a GM customer relations person, who told me that the
horn hot spot is above the horn symbol, not on the symbol itself.

  3. The airbag doesn't go through the steering wheel cover, the deploying airbag
pushes it out of the way (probably flips either upwards or downwards)..

If anyone else has the same problem - dealer replaced it for free.
    yay.
