Slipping clutch? 2003 Ion

    Hello all! I have a 2003 Ion and on a recent trip the clutch seems to be slipping. I had meant to get a tune up- but like a genius ans in a hurry and didn't - so I checked the oil which was dry as a bone, filled it and the next day she was doing alright and then NOPE! not again .... does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with her? She barely does hills without high reving - I'm in the middle of nowhere Canada without a dealer.
