Just got my 2001 300L wagon back from service at local Saturn
dealer--complete service, etc. They turned off the "Service Engine Soon"
light, but it came back on today only 4 days after complete service.
Should I bring the car back to the Saturn service dept. over that little
light, or should I shut it off myself (tell me, please, how to do so).
    Thanks a bunch!

Should I bring the car back to the Saturn service dept. over that little
They turned off the light? Did they say why it was on? They must not have
addressed the problem of why the light was on. I believe you can get it to
turn off by disconnecting one of the battery cables for a time and then
reconnect it. If the problem is still there the light will just come on again.

I had that 'service engine soon' light problem. Took it to my local
trusted mechanic (NOT dealer) and he rapidly diagnosed it as a bad water
temp sensor, the computer thought the engine was too cold. Pretty cheap
    & quick to replace.

  4. You can't just turn it off, if it came back on they obviously didn't fix
whatever it was that made it come on in the first place..
